News for the Week of February 8-12

Dates to Remember
2/8- K-3 Talent Show
2/12- Valentine's Exchange and 11:30 Dismissal
2/15- Presidents Day We do have school!
2/24- State Museum Field Trip

Valentine's Exchange:February 12th: Please allow your child to decorate a shoe box, cereal box, or box of similar size for the Valentine Exchange. Please send in 17 Valentines with your child's name on each one. Please do not put any other name on the valentines because the children will simply put a valentine in each of their classmates' decorated valentine box. Please make sure the box has a lid so it can be open for children to drop their valentines in each other's boxes. Tip: Put Valentines in a ziploc bag and place them in the decorated shoe box and bring the box and valentines to school starting the Week of February 9th.

State Museum Field Trip: We are scheduled to go on a free field trip Wednesday, Feb. 24th. There is no cost for students. Parents who are able to volunteer to help with supervision of small groups are to be at the Museum at 10:00 where they will pay $5 for our group rate. If you are planning to attend to help, please email me! Younger siblings are not allowed for all school field trips.

At the beginning of the school year, students were sent home with a blue sheet that parents were to fill out and return if they wanted their children to be seen by a dental hygienist here at the school. If you filled out one of these forms and sent it back to school with your child, they will be seen by Kelley Cato, Dental Hygienist next week. If you did not return the form with your child, and you are interested in your child having an exam, please contact Nurse Mishoe and she will make arrangements for your child. Thank you!
